Gasa Dzongkhag joins the Nation in observing Zero Waste Hour “My Waste, My Responsibility”, a program which was graciously launched by Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen on June 2, 2019 coinciding with Coronation of His majesty The Fourth Druk Gyalpo. The NEC program inspires all the citizen to pledge an hour of the second day of the every month to cleaning our waste and we hope it can bring behavior change towards proper waste management. Amongst all the initiatives taken by the Dzongkhag to uphold the pureness of the region, cleaning of the surrounding on 9th of every month by all the public servants and people of the Dzongkhag is one of the captivating program. With the initiation of Zero Waste Hour, the program to clean the District on 2nd of every month commenced today. We are deeply grateful to everyone for partaking the program actively.
