6th December 2017, Gasa:
Lyonpo Namgay Dorji, Honble Finance Minister accompanied by Directors and other senior officials from the Department of National Budget and Department of Public Accounts was in our Dzongkhag from 1 to 3 December. The team visited Gasa Tashithongmoen Dzong and met with DT members, Sectors and unit heads and all representative of the financial institutions based in Gasa.
Hon’ble Lyonpo expressed that it is very important for the Ministry to understand a clear picture of budget utilization and progress of all the Dzongkhags. The Hon’ble Minister mentioned that as a Bhutanese Citizen we all must understand about our country’s economic situation, especially the debt status which is a big concern to our country. He also explained that the presentation will give you a clear idea about our country’s economic situation. He stated that the country is enjoying unprecedented peace, prosperity and happiness because of the blessings of the Triple Gems, and the visionary leadership of His Majesty the King. He urged the participants to serve the country with full dedication.
