Yesterday we had the honour of the visit of the H.E. the Hon'ble Prime Minister and Hon'ble Foriegn Minister. During the visit HPM met with business community and Dzongkhag and Gewogs staff, visited the present town; visited the Dzong to see the ongoing conservation/renovation of the Dzong; visited the recently inaugurated Driving Dzongkhag Development Centre whose first product is the "Gasa Soechu" the bottled spring water. 
During the trip the ongoing blacktopping work of Punakha - Gasa road works was also monitored. HPM expressed concerns on the slow progress of the work. He also shared that we all need to put in more efforts to speed up the work as a good smooth road is very important for Gasa's socio economic development as it would reduce the traveling time by 1 to 2 hours thereby attracting more tourists and other opportunities. 
HPM and the entourage returned to Thimphu yesterday itself.
