17 July 2016, Gasa:
Today, coinciding with 13th day of the 6th lunar month of fire male monkey year, a very auspicious day, the consecration and inauguration of the Drangpon’s residence was held. The ceremony was attended by the Chief Justice of Bhutan as the chief guest and members of the Gasa Rabdey, Dzongkhag administration, Drangthrim, Regional offices and representatives of business community and Khatoed and Khamoed Gewogs. 
Acute housing shortage has been(still is) the major shortcoming for the public servants working in Gasa. For real (not example), all Drangpons to date lived in a two rooms semi permanent house. However the good news is the situation is improving steadily as it is already happening for Drangpon.

This facility will also house the Dzongkhag Court till the Dzong conservation work is completed in 2018.
