The Hon’ble Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MoAL), accompanied by the Director of the Department of Agriculture and the Chief of Agriculture Production Division visited Gasa Dzongkhag on 23rd May 2025. The visit began with a warm reception by Dasho Dzongdag and sector heads, followed by a visit to the Goenkhang. The delegation visited a potato field at Remi, where Dasho met with farmers and discussed local initiatives. The team also visited the Mastiff farm at Khatoed and the Milk Processing Unit at Damji under Khamoed Gewog. At the Dzongkhag Veterinary Hospital, the Secretary met with all agriculture and livestock sector staff, offering valuable guidance and insights. The visit provided an opportunity to understand field-level implementation and service delivery. It concluded with a visit to the chain link fencing site at Selikha, reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to supporting rural livelihoods and strengthening agricultural development in the Dzongkhag.
