Laya Run is 25 kilometres run.  

The run began from Ponjothang, the point where motorable road ends. Runners have to hike along the banks of Mochhu River until the uphill point at Taktsemakha army camp. The route is tougher and the finishing line is at Langothang, Laya.

Usually, hiking to Laya Gewog takes around eight hours. The run marks the beginning of the Royal highland festival (a festival in Laya Gewog) and it kept hundreds of spectators looking out for the runners to descend from the nearest hill of the finishing line.

The Run is challenging but you will come across beautiful scenery and will get fresh air. 

The Run is "OPEN to ALL"
