December 19, 2018, Gasa:

“If in the next 10 to 15 years, we achieve all our national objectives, the credit will go to our public servants. However, if we fail, it will mean that the public servants have failed.”- The Royal Address, 111th National Day, Samtsi, December 17, 2018.

Three days after the momentous celebration of the 111th National Day, a ceremony to offer Tashi Khadars to 22 staff of Dzongkhag administration, Bjishong Central School and Gasa Pry School who received the promotion. Except for one fast track, the rest are all normal broadband promotion. On behalf of the people and staff of Dzongkhag, Dzongdag offered the Tashi Khadars and suja desi was served. Everyone was treated with sumptuous lunch sponsored by the promotion recipients. In fact, this is the first of its kind and we plan to continue hereafter as a mandatory event.
We believe the event was timed perfectly, as we are still very fresh and reflecting on The Royal Address at the 111th National Day Celebration. We took the opportunity to discuss the Royal Address with special reference to the takeaway messages for us the civil servants. We agreed that civil servants could and should do much more in the service to the Tsawa Sum and Nation Building. We have to be more responsible, more responsive, more concerned, more selfless in our thoughts and actions. We should not be complacent and indifferent. We should learn from past mistakes, work in a team, not in isolation, and mindfully use the scarce public fund and resources

It was a great opportunity for everyone present to rededicate our commitment to think and act as deemed necessary to realize the aspirations of the Golden Throne outlined in the Royal Address at the 111th National Day Celebration.
