Today, with day’s identity of good signs and symbols, Gasa District witnessed the inauguration of the Visitors Information Center (VIC) constructed at the convenient location at Tsachu junction under Khatoed Gewog and cafeteria at Goenteygang under Khamaed Gewog. With the noble vision to incorporate youth employment solution in every possible activities of the Dzongkhag and to further boost the income generation of the community, this another good fortune and opportunity was given preferably to the people of Gasa to take up. “With all wishes and sincere prayers, we entrust you with this opportunity to serve all our precious guests en route to Gasa and tsachu in the modest possible way but not overlooking the very purpose of why you are installed here,” Dasho Dzongda reminded both the proprietors alike. Mr. Kinley Drukpa and Ms. Pem, both from Gasa District, will operate the facility at Goenteygang and Tsachu junction respectively and are to take care of all facilities constructed in and around including beautifying and cleanliness of the place.
The basic information about the District to our valuable visitors would be served from VIC henceforth. Further, we would like to inform the guests that we have the user-friendly restrooms available at this two locations and the information about the location of restrooms can be found on the boards at the roadsides. (This is mentioned to the reason how the restrooms are rare on the way).
Funded by the Tourism Flagship Programme, we are stimulated to serve our visitors with local agriculture and livestock produce and with other delicious fast foods from these sites. As usual, the nearby people gathered, however with health protocols in mind with their ‘ja-changs’ to congratulate and encourage with this start up plan. To the residents of Gasa, Mr. Kinley is going to offer pizza and burgers from his cafeteria (this would be first time in the history of Gasa) So, do call and order!!!!
