October 5, 2019:
‘Bum Tashi’ was escorted to Phupi Lhakhang from Gasa Tashothongmoen Dzong this morning in a traditional chipdral ceremony. ‘Bum Tashi’ was actually for preventing all troubles and bad signs during the conduction of religious/good deeds (embodied here by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel’s statue). It is a customary practice to take Bum Tashi to Phub lhakhang on 7th day of the 8th month of the Bhutanese calendar annually. This is to mark Gasa Tsechu at her traditional date doing the ritual for 3 days since date. Led by Gasa Rabday, the Thrizin, Sector heads and regional heads have attended the observance.
Wishing everyone fruitful weekends.
