Gasa marks the 7th day of the 8th month in Bhutanese calendar as the traditional date of her annual Tsechu. Though it is a past thing, the opening of three days Tsechu of Gasa falls on this very day and to keep the virtuous tradition and folklore alive, this morning, led by Gasa Rabdhay and Dzongkhag Administration 'Bum Tashhi' embodied by The Great Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel was escorted to Phupi Lhakhang from Gasa Tashithongmoen Dzong in a traditional chipdral ceremony. The history says that ‘Bum Tashhi’ was performed for preventing all the troubles and bad energies while conducting religious programs. Following this, three days rituals will be performed at Phupi lhakhang until Bum Tashhi is escorted back to Tashithongmoen Dzong. With this sacred religious happenings, Gasa Dzongkhag offered sincere prayers that we evoke all positive merits enough for forever happiness and good health of all sentient beings.
