Some 185 households, including Government offices, in Lunana Gewog in Gasa were provided with polycarbonate sheets. It is to be used for their house and office windows.

The sheets were handed over to them yesterday in Punakha.

They were purchased upon the command of His Majesty The King during the recent Royal Visit to Lunana.

Transporting breakable items like glass to remote Lunana is an impossible task due to lack of road.

Polycarbonate sheet is light weight and durable with high impact strength. It is said to be 200 times stronger than normal glass.
