Inauguration and handing taking of Desuung Water project at Chubisa/Ramina Kidu settlement.

Corresponding to the good zakar, the inauguration and official handing-taking ceremony of the Desuung Water project to channel uninterrupted drinking water at the Chubisa/Ramina Kidu settlement was held today after successful completion of the project. The Water Flagship Project emanated from His Majesty’s profound vision of “to provide access to 24×7 safe drinking water to both rural and urban households” was one of the great blessings benefitting everyone at the large scale and Gasa, in particular, was so fortunate to receive the blessings at the Kidu settlement.

Dasho Secretary from MoWHS graced the ceremony accompanied by Director General of Desuung Office, Colonel Dasho Tsheten Dorji from RBA, Director of DES, Hon'ble MP of National Council of Gasa, Dasho Dzongdag, Dasho OC, Sr. Dzongrab, DT Thrizin, and officials from dzongkhag Administration, MoWHS and DeSuung office witnessed the opportune occasion.

Speaking to all partakers, the guest of honor, Dasho Secretary said that the water flagship projects have been implemented across all 20 Dzongkhag, and with the completion of chubisa water project, 13 projects have been completed, and there are 10 such projects underway across the nation. With a humble gesture, both Dasho Secretary and Dasho Dzongdag expressed gratitude to His Majesty The Druk Gyalpo, RGoB, MoWHS, DeSuung Office, and especially to all the DeSuups who volunteered for the projects.

Later in the noon, certificate and religious souvenir were awarded to those individuals involved in implementing the project, and additional “Zabtog” pins were awarded to the Desuups. The project was handed over to Director of DES, DG of Desuung Office, Dasho Dzongdag and DT Thrizin of Gasa Dzongkhag.

Around 192 households and a population of 960 individuals would be benefitted from this project.

De-Suung National Service Water Flagship project is one of the many initiatives undertaken by De-suung - Guardians of Peace Office as envisioned by His Majesty the King and the project had commenced on 27th June 2021 and was implemented by 31 Desuups (male-14 & female-17) and two RBA Officer with full technical support and supervision of the Dzongkhag Engineering sector in collaboration with MoWHS and DeSuung Office.
