September 5, 2019:

Gasa Tashithongmoen Dzong, a 17th century built fortress blessed by Zhabdrung Rimpoche and her local deity Damchen Gomo consists of majestic three storied Utse , Taa-dzong and other important sacred lhakhangs. The ancient monument of the country have suffered numerous extents of damages.
Later with the blessings of His Majesty The King, The Royal Family of Bhutan and His Holiness The Chabjey Rimpoche, the work of conservation was executed from 2014-2019 under the guidance of MOHCA. The total budget of Nu.110M was funded by Government of India. The conservation project team jointly with the members from the department of culture and GNHC has officially handed over the completed renovation to the Dzongkhag Administration and Dzongkhag Rabdey in presence of Hon’ble Director General, department of culture and Hon’ble Director General, TCB (previous Dzongda,Gasa) ,Hon’ble MP of Khatoed-Laya consistency, Dasho Drangpoen, Thrizin, Gups and sector heads.
The following structures are included in the aforementioned handing taking:
1. Changzoe lhakhang
2. Dzong Utse
3. Lamai Singye’s residence
4. Kangjub’s residence
5. Dzongdag and AFD block
6. Dzongkhag Sector block
7. Lami Zhichung
8. Zeeray
9. Dochey
10. Toilet
11. Kitchen
12. Chadi walls
