Today, Lyonpo Damcho Dorji, Hon'ble Minister, MOFA inaugurated the Driving Dzongkhag Development Centre (DDDC). We plan to have one such centre in all 4 Gewogs in due course of time. This center will be the engine of development of Dzongkhag and Gewogs. The Centre will help Dzongkhag in pursuing its Good to Great Gasa goal of self reliance through the following objectives: I) income generation II) import substitution iii) employment generation Ic) production of goods and services. 
The first product of this Centre is the bottled spring water which was also inaugurated. Later other enterprises such as agri processing, arts and crafts etc will be added. As mentioned in Lyonpo's address this water bottling plant is historic for Gasa as this happens to be the first industry in Gasa. The water has "Gasa Soechu" as its name. Gasa Soechu is spring water believed to be Drubchu of Drubthop Therkungpa who founded the site for Gasa Tashithongmoen Dzong in 12th century. Later this water was used as Soechu of Shaabdrung Rimpoche and today it's the water source for the village of Chogley. The water is packaged in glass bottle which will be reused in pursuance of our Good to Great Gasa vision of also making Gasa litter and waste free. The glass bottle will be bought back by the centre at nu. 5. 
This project is funded by Dzongkhag Development Grant. The DDDC will be operated on community owned company mode and bonds/shares will be floated to citizen of Gasa and all public servants working in Gasa.
