Awareness Program by BICMA officials on the Digitization of Cable Services.

The Bhutan InfoComm and Media Authority- BICMA (BICMA) officials conducted an awareness program in the Dzongkhag to educate the local community about the Digitization of Cable Television Services (CATV), Installation of Ku Band dishes, and the associated rules and regulations. The program also covered topics such as the process for book registration, obtaining a filming license, accreditation of journalists, Ku band dish permits, and their rules and regulations, as well as EMF (Electromagnetic Field) and QoS (Quality of Service) monitoring.

The program was attended by the Dzongkhag staff, including Dasho Dzongdag, local leaders, Thromde Thuemi, and cable operators. The Dzongkhag administration expressed their gratitude to the BICMA team for their efforts in advocating and disseminating this important information.

By conducting such awareness programs, BICMA aims to ensure that the community is well-informed about the digitization of cable services and related matters. This initiative not only helps in promoting transparency but also assists in the smooth implementation of regulations and guidelines in the field of media and communication.
