14 November 2018, Gasa:
A team of four led by Tshewang Dorji, Chief of Pension and Provident Fund Division Pension held an interactive advocacy and awareness session on the mandates and services of the National Pension and Provident Fund. The three hours programme was attended by staff of Dzongkhag administration who are by default the lucky members of the same. It was very informative and useful.
One fact that struck us deeply was that majority of the 55,102 members of the NPPF comprising of civil/public and armed services are young with an average age of 37 and 38 years. Tshewang expressed that with such a young group of civil/public/armed service, the country has no excuse, but to do well. He remarked, “If not now, when?” In other words, “lets strike when the iron is hot”. We agree - “NOW” is the time to Act. Now is the time to Build our Nation Stronger.
“We are yesterday’s children, today we are tomorrow’s parents’ responsible for our nation and for laying the foundation for the next generation. Remember, the future will reflect what we do today.” His Majesty The Druk Gyalpo Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, NGOP, 2012.
“The future is neither unseen nor unknown. It is what we make of it. What work we do with our two hands today will shape the future of our nation. Our children’s tomorrow has to be created by us today.” - His Majesty The Druk Gyalpo Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, Coronation Address, 2008.
