Tor-jab, an annual event
Annual Torjab was performed in all the twenty Dzongkhags coinciding with the lo-ba (commonly called lomba) on the 29th (lomba nyi-ri-gu) day of the 10th month celebrated in the country. This year, it was conducted a day prior to the actual day to meet the auspicious signs and symbols. Annual Torjab was conducted to ward off all the evils, disasters, and illness concerning the Dzongkhag and the Nation in the coming year. For well-being of all the sentient beings and for offering heartfelt prayers and humble wishes for the long lives of Their Majesties, His Holiness Chabje Yezhin Norbu ,His Royal Highness The Gyalsey and The Royal Family of Bhutan, the faithful devotees of Gasa gathered at the conduction of the event. The divine event (ku-rim) was performed by the venerable Lam Neten of Dratshang and progeny tor-jab performer popularly known as Ap Pajo from Laya Gewog. The event was partaken by all the staffs of the Dzongkhag administration, regional offices and the people of the Dzongkhag in a ceremonial procession.
Gasa celebrated the memorable auspicious day marking the end of a successful year and the commencement of yet another awe-inspiring year filled with happiness, victory, peace and prosperity.
May the Kingdom of Bhutan be filled with peace and joy forever!!! May the local deity bless us continuously!!
