A team from the RMA led by the Deputy Governor, Aum Yangchen Tshogyel were on two days visit to Gasa with a mission to get first-hand information on the Priority Sector Lending (PSL) projects. Launched on 1st Jan 2018, PSL is a special lending scheme instituted with the Blessings of the Golden Throne and backstopped by RMA to address the financial needs of the needy clients (youth and farmers) that are not served by the mainstream lending schemes of the various financial institutions.

Gasa has 5 projects (3 mushroom, poultry, dairy) in action and as of date, all are progressing well. We have few more in the pipeline, including the one for the Gasa Soechu, a community-owned company.

The team visited all the projects and interacted with the proponents. The team also participated in an interactive session with the Dzongkhag PSL committee members and the financial institutions (BoB, BNB, BDBL, RICBL), during which views and feedbacks were exchanged. The session was very useful to all parties.

The team also visited the Gasa Soechu plant. We would like to take this opportunity in requesting one and all to try our water – Gasa Soechu. A water Quite different in Taste and Content (naturally alkaline). The water is bottled at almost 3000 masl from a historically significant Spring. Gasa Soechu – Pristine Water for Pure Minds!
