Yesterday, Mr Mengistu Alemayehu, Director , South Asia, IFC, World Bank and Mr Om Bhandari the local IFC Incharge made a day trip to Gasa. They visited the Hazelnut plantation sites in Damji, Gasa Tshachu and Khatoed Gewog Centre. En-route they interacted with farmers and later joined the meeting of the Gasa Organic Group and had good interaction with the members. 
The Director indicated that IFC may field an expert to help us in better identifying our potentials and opportunities in realizing the goal of self reliance of our vision Good To Great Gasa. 
We thank the Director who took all the trouble to make this hard and long drive covering almost 300 kms to and fro Thimphu and Gasa. The Director is in Bhutan to attend the first ever Summit on Financial Inclusion from 24 to 26 May 2017, which was organized by RMA and RIGSS and IFC is one of the co-sponsors of the successful Summit.
