24 August 2020

Yesterday the COVID-19 task force and the front-line workers of Gasa issued 452 movement cards to the residents of Khatoed and Khamaed town zones. With the first step to unlocking, the zonation methodology was first implemented today from 9:00 AM. The identified areas will take shifts to move out based on timing allocated in the morning and afternoon respectively. The first person from area one visited the shop at 9:18 am at Gasa town to fetch essential items. With prior briefings on monitoring procedures by Desuup Gojay and every track of movement of individuals maintained, the Desuups were alerted to play critical role in this trying time. For the reasons pre-conceived of people so used to staying home or the District being least populated, we could find only two to three persons gingerly walking in the town. This became a talk amongst our task force members giggling to a loud laugh in the midst of our tight schedule.

Easing of restrictions with clear directives from headquarter is welcomed by all people of Gasa.

With easing of lockdown, we are expecting less stressful days to everyone as envisioned by His Majesty The King.

While at control room, the Red Cross Society donated hand sanitizer with stand to COVID-19 control room based at Gasa PS.

We offer our gratitude to Red Cross Society la.
