Gasa Celebrates Royal Civil Service Medal awarding Day

Corresponding to the auspicious 15th day of 10th month with elemental combination Earth Earth of the Earth Female Pig in Bhutanese calendar, Dzongkhag Administration arranged noble spiritual program of unfolding prayer flag (Lhadhar) hoisted in front of the Dzong. With the management body of the Dzongkhag, LG leaders and Regional heads took part in the ritual ceremony performed by the Dratshang headed by Venerable Lam Neten.
Unfolding of Lhadhar is an annual program and we offered our humble prayers to benefit all sentient beings. May our mother land be blessed with Peace, Prosperity, Love and Happiness.

Subsequently, the staffs of the Dzongkhag Administration chaired by Hon’ble Dasho Dzongda gathered to celebrate the efforts and unwavering services rendered by the civil servant. The function was started with marchang ceremony and offering of Zhabten to His Majesty The Druk Gyalpo.

“If, in the next 10 to 15 years, we achieve all our national objectives, the credit will go to our public servants. However, if we fail, it will mean that the public servants have failed.”

To mark the event, guest of honor, Dasho Dzongda humbly offered deepest gratitude and prayers to the great Monarchs for the peace and happiness on this Dragon Kingdom. In addition, he has reminded that the coordination of inspirational civil service medal award is a blessing that came from the golden throne. With the great leadership who always bestow lots of love and guidance, we the civil servant get more opportunity to render our services with full dedication. As chief guest mentioned to the floor, the civil servants are the tools (eyes and hands) for the Government while taking up developmental activities and for fulfilling the objectives of the Nation.
Today, 16 staffs of the Dzongkhag Administration were awarded Bronze and silver medal in recognition of their excellence and full dedication in service to the country. Like how Dasho Dzongda expressed, some the recipients shared they views on how they became more obliged to serve the Tsa-Wa-Sum with utmost dedication and commitment.
We would like to rededicate ourselves once again to the Tsa-Wa-Sum.
