August 15,2019:

The six days (8 – 13 August, 2019) Moenlam Chenmo of Gasa Dzongkhag presided by His Holiness Chabje Yezhin Norbu Trulku Jigme Choedra has concluded magnificently with blessing for long life (Tshe-wang). Around 1300 faithful devotees attended the Moenlam Chenmo. Amid many auspicious godsend signs, the people of Gasa and other esteemed visitors are blessed with the promising climate and other auspicious attendance. Former Lyonpo Damcho Dorji, Hon’ble MPs and NC of Gasa, Lam Netens, Dzongdas, Dzongrab, SPs and OCs of RBP and Drangpons of our neighboring Dzongkhag also graced the occasion with their presence.

His Holiness the Je Khenpo has honored and blessed with majestic name of the place. Gasa which was formerly written as མགར་ས། - the land of blacksmithing will henceforth be དགའ་ས།- the land of Happiness and Goen to be meant as མགོན།(protector) with the holy words of advice.

The Dzongkhag Administration would like to take this opportunity in offering our deepest prayers and acknowledgement for the grace and blessings of HH the Je Khenpo and their Majesties for guiding and blessing our second Moenlam Chenmo a very efficacious event.

Likewise, we thank all our devotees, all four Gewogs, Regional Offices,Dzong Conservation Project, Dzongkhag, Rabdey and particularly the supporters (Jindas) for their greatest goodwill and support in kind, spirit and action for the spiritual occasion. Kadrenchay la!!!
May peace and prosperity prevail in the Land of Thunder Dragon and may Gasa get the blessing from His Holiness and her local deity (Ap Gomo) to continue to live up to the weight of her name- Land of Happiness.🙏🙏🙏
