December 7,2016:

Mr Rudolf Schwenk, Resrep of UNICEF Bhutan accompanied by Mrs Annika Schwenk, Dr Chandralal, Mr. Topgye were in Gasa on two days visit. The team visited and met with staff of BHUs in Damji and Gasa and ECCD in Gasa. They also made a brief visit to the Tashithongmoen Dzong which is under renovation. They also experienced our famous Tshachu (hot spring). 
Most usefully, the team met and talked with the participants of the on-going Orientation Programme for the recently elected batch of the Local Government Officials. 
UNICEF is supporting our health and education sectors. Soon we will have an ECCD in Laya Gewogvwith their support.
