SUMMARY:7th Royal Highland Festival
DESCRIPTION:The 7th Royal Highland Festival will take place on the 23rd and
  24th of October 2024 in the picturesque village of Laya.\nThis much-antic
 ipated event will once again showcase the rich cultural diversity and uniq
 ue traditions of the highlanders from across 10 dzongkhags\, celebrating t
 he unity and sovereignty of our nation through shared beliefs\, practices\
 , and values.\nThe festival promises an exciting array of events\, highlig
 hted by the Highlanders' vibrant sports competitions\, captivating cultura
 l performances\, and distinctive local product showcases. Visitors can enj
 oy a tempting variety of dishes from the early morning\, with the sumptuou
 s Tokha being a highlight.\nAs night falls\, the experience becomes even m
 ore enchanting with a cozy campfire under the stars\, accompanied by steam
 ing hot tea\, porridge\, and traditional local drinks. The atmosphere come
 s alive with mesmerizing live musical performances\, creating a perfect bl
 end of warmth\, flavors\, and entertainment for an unforgettable evening.\
 nAs usual\, the 25KM Laya Run kicks off from Ponjothang on the first day. 
 The first 19KM follows a scenic road before transitioning into the final 6
 KM along a stunning trail. This section takes runners through lush green v
 egetation and the charming villages of Laya\, where they will be greeted b
 y fresh\, crisp mountain air and breathtaking natural scenery. The run con
 cludes at the Celebration Ground\, offering participants a unique opportun
 ity to fully experience the warmth of the festival.\nThe renowned 5-Day Sn
 owman Race will commence from the festival ground in Laya on the second da
 y and it will conclude at the finish line in Bumthang.\nFor details and up
